How do you get more families to take out National Trust for Scotland membership? You ask two of Scotland’s best-loved icons to help.
The Gnashional Treasure Hunt, developed in partnership with DC Thomson, was used to both recruit and retain family memberships. By incentivising return visits with prizes we were also able to increase the average number of property visits. In its first year visitor levels in participating properties were up 24% and retail sales up 18%. The Hunt is bigger and better in Scotland this year with all NTS venues taking part. The concept is now being introduced into National Trust properties South of the Border.
